Development pressure constantly challenges our precious environment. We must be on guard at all times and carefully analyze each development proposal and reject potentially damaging plans. Residents must become more fully aware of the consequences of their actions so that current levels of pollution are reduced. We must continue the reduction of pesticides and herbicides until they are eliminated. City Schools, Metro District, the County, and Caltrans need to bring their procedures in line with the City of Santa Cruz and other northern California Counties such as Trinity and Humboldt.
